PPD Makes Forbes List

Forbes magazine names PPD to its 2019 list of America’s Best Large Employers.

PPD has been named to Forbes magazine’s 2019 list of America’s Best Employers in the large company category for the second consecutive year.

Top large company honorees were chosen by Forbes from an independent survey sample of U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations. Respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they’d be to recommend their employers to others. Participants were also asked to nominate organizations in industries outside their own.

According to Forbes, company culture proved to be universally important across industries on the list. Our employees agree that company culture is important.
“I joined PPD in 2004 after working at four companies within a span of seven years,” said Peter Spark, associate director of operational finance. “I thought that I liked moving every few years to grow my career. I never imagined that I’d be here 15 years later and still feel challenged. With the support of our senior leadership, I have been able to learn, develop and grow.”

PPD’s culture is shaped by the company’s defining principles: a strong will to win, earning our customers’ trust, being game-changers, doing the right thing, and working together as one PPD.

“Our employees are passionate about improving health,” said David Simmons, PPD’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Every day, across the globe, our talented professionals from a wide variety of disciplines collaborate as one PPD, pursuing excellence in customer service and leading innovation in clinical research. Their talent, ingenuity and commitment are our formula for extraordinary results in helping our customers develop safe, effective new medicines for patients.”

PPD’s culture informs all that we do.

“I know the time I spend at work every day — along with the time spent by thousands of my colleagues around the world — is focused on something meaningful,” said Giuseppina Corvasce, associate director of clinical team management. “This is why, 20 years later, I know my work has a purpose, and I still want to be with PPD.”
