At PPD, we respect one another and recognize that our diversity makes our business stronger. We strive to be an inclusive organization where colleagues can be their authentic selves and grow their careers. We encourage open dialogue to broaden our perspectives and fuel business performance. And we work together, united as “one PPD,” to further positive outcomes for all patients.

Inclusion at PPD

Business Resource Groups (BRGs) help us support a diverse workforce and welcoming culture. They encourage cross-functional collaboration, create another avenue to learn and grow in the workplace and help us increase authenticity. It is through these efforts that we contribute to innovation and make a business impact.

Black Organization for Leadership Development

The Black Organization for Leadership Development (BOLD) encourages and provides Black colleagues and allies with an engaging, collaborative and informational forum while providing an empowering environment that focuses on promoting career advancement and professional and personal development.

"As a founding board member of BOLD, I have had the inspiring experience of being connected to black PPD colleagues in ways that weren’t possible before. I have personally been enriched by mentoring and supporting the development pathways of fellow BOLD members through planned events and ad hoc connections. I would have never developed some of these relationships if BOLD didn’t exist."

- Lowell Price, vice president, global head of commercial, Evidera

Pride

Pride’s purpose is to connect LGBT+ colleagues and allies to create a safe, inclusive and supportive network bringing education, visibility and awareness to our communities.

"A lot of the work I do with the Middleton Pride BRG is about making life at PPD easier and more inclusive for all of the trans people who work here at PPD. That’s what spurred me to join back when the group formed last year. Being part of the Pride BRG has opened up a lot of room for dialogue with people about how they can be better allies and provided me with an avenue to spearhead queer education here at PPD."

- Kelsey Nahrstadt, associate scientist, inhalation

Women's Empowerment Network

The Women’s Empowerment Network (WEN) provides an inclusive support network that advances and advocates for the empowerment of women.

"I co-lead the India chapter of Women’s Empowerment Network. It excites me to be a part of this enthusiastic team, which encourages and motivates women to develop and achieve higher success in the workplace. Through regular meetings and talks with experienced leaders, WEN has given us a platform to network with women across the globe. This group offers us the unique opportunity to enhance cultural awareness and sensitivity and develop a global perspective."

- Resha Jamkhandi, senior manager, clinical data management

“I truly want PPD to be the company where all colleagues feel accepted and welcomed, where each of us is valued for our merit and virtue and not discriminated against based on our differences.” Chairman and CEO David Simmons
