You’re the kind of person who strives to be the best you can be. Motivated, eager to learn, grow, and push yourself forward, you are inspired by a passion for improving health. You now have a chance to pair your personal traits with the vast resources at PPD to become a world-class clinical research associate (CRA). Build a rewarding career through Drive, our unique CRA training program within the clinical monitoring career area.
Fueled by the defining principles that shape our engaging work environment, Drive empowers and prepares you to pursue our goal of delivering life-changing therapies to improve health on a global scale. We are one PPD, devoted to the success of our employees and clients alike. Drive offers multiple points of entry for individuals at various levels of experience and is a great way to pursue your career goals.
If you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences or clinical research field, completed coursework in medical terminology and anatomy/physiology, and have a strong interest in the pharmaceutical industry, you may qualify. You can join PPD as a clinical trial coordinator (CTC), remote site monitor (RSM), or country approval specialist (CAS) and advance to the CRA role.
Should you seek a new way to apply your skills, you may thrive in this role. Your credentials should include a registered nursing certification or equivalent and/or relevant formal academic/vocational training; related experience; and/or clinical research coordinator experience.
You’ll learn soft skills, attend instructor-led live sessions and receive role-play and field training to ensure the confidence, critical-thinking and relationship-building skills essential to success.
You’ll be supported by local line management and mentoring before, during, and after the program. Within our unique CRA community, you’ll experience a collaborative, engaging environment where you can be yourself and realize your full potential.
These include core therapeutic area training and professional training modules.
Academy CRAs have earned PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year finalist, bronze, silver and gold awards as well as multiple PPD Peak Performance Team awards within their first years after graduation!
Graduates of our CRA Academy have excelled in their field and risen to leadership roles within the CRA workforce at PPD and throughout the CRO industry, ascending to such roles as clinical trial manager, project manager and other key positions.
Performance metrics for Academy CRAs are reviewed regularly to closely monitor quality standards. On average, these individuals achieve similar or better results compared to their non-Academy peers.
We invite you to listen to global clinical development Executive Vice President David Johnston, Emma Sealey, senior clinical team manager based in Australia, Amber Lee, senior vice president of clinical operations, and several graduates of the CRA Academy around the world. Consider the career growth you could achieve through CRA Drive and PPD’s CRA Academy.
