Corey Nehls serves as senior vice president of the PPD® Laboratories bioanalytical lab which includes operations in Richmond, Virginia, and Middleton, Wisconsin. He is responsible for leading the overall strategy, operational and financial management for the lab, including leadership, direction and administration of laboratory facilities.
Since joining PPD in 1989, Nehls has held roles of increasing responsibility at PPD Laboratories, from his start as a bench scientist to his current position as senior vice president, where he oversees a staff of 650 scientific, technical and administrative staff. During his career, Nehls and his management team have provided bioanalytical support for thousands of preclinical and clinical trials. At PPD Laboratories, Nehls has led 21 successful on-site regulatory inspections, 17 with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and four with the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency.
Nehls earned a Bachelor of Science in geology/geophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
