Research Study at PPD Austin.

• The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the study drug on inflammation in obese participants at risk of cardiovascular disease. 
• The study drug is being developed as a potential treatment for inflammation. 
• Generally healthy volunteers with some cardiac risk factors (high cholesterol, high blood pressure, Type 2 Diabetes, weight problems, BMI 30-40 kg/m2) are needed at this stage of research.
• This is a research study and your participation is voluntary. You may stop participating at any time. 

• Generally healthy adults with some cardiac risk factors 
• 18+ years old 
• Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30-40 kg/m2

• Non-Smoker/ non-user of nicotine containing products/ 30 days prior to dose 

Need to have 1 or more of the following:  

• Controlled hypertension with no recent changes in treatment 
• Hypercholesteremia (High LDL cholesterol or controlled with cholesterol treatment) 
• High HDL cholesterol or controlled 
• Controlled type 1 or 2 diabetes 
• Health status is further evaluated by reviewing medical history, screening assessments, and visit with physician 
• Available and willing to commit to study visit structure – You will be asked to stay in our clinic for 30 nights and return for 1 outpatient follow up visits
