Scientific innovation is transforming the Huntington’s disease (HD) research landscape, with advances in disease-modifying therapies, observational data platforms, and biomarker-driven research creating new opportunities to accelerate clinical development. However, translating these advances into successful clinical trials requires more than scientific progress alone. Persistent challenges, including trial readiness, site infrastructure, patient access, and regional disparities continue to impact recruitment, study execution, and the pace at which new therapies reach patients. In this paper, experts in Huntington’s disease, patient advocates, and insights from the European Huntington Association examine the operational and strategic priorities shaping the future of HD research.
