Nicole Hedrick serves as senior vice president of human resources (HR) for PPD and is a member of the HR, project delivery and clinical development leadership teams. In this role, she is the senior HR business partner for the company’s clinical development organization, a team of more than 17,000 global colleagues. Hedrick is responsible for developing the unit’s talent strategies, employee retention, engagement, development, successions planning, productivity and organizational designs. She leads a team of global strategic HR business partners who support the executive leadership of the clinical development, early development and Accelerated Enrollment Solutions businesses, ensuring robust talent strategies meet business goals and objectives.
Prior to joining PPD in 2019, Hedrick was the chief HR officer for nearly five years at Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI), the world’s largest academic clinical research organization and part of the Duke University School of Medicine. Before that, she spent 16 years at IBM in global HR leadership roles.
Hedrick studied business at the University of South Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and criminal justice from North Carolina State University.
