Survey results: Identifying clients’ needs and challenges in rare disease clinical development

Rare disease clinical research is particularly complex due to a variety of factors that influence trial design and operationalization. In 2023, the PPD™ clinical research business of Thermo Fisher Scientific surveyed 100 respondents who work within the rare disease sector and partner with a contract research organization (CRO). The results of the survey identify clients’ needs and the challenges they are facing in conducting rare disease clinical trials.
